Rates: Date of travel determines the rate, therefore split season rates may apply. A rental day consists of 24 hrs.

 

Driver's age: Min 21 years or 20 years with higher bond ($2,000)

 

Driver’s Licence: A full valid licence is the min. requirement & must be sighted at commencement of hire.

 

Rates include: GST, unlimited kms & insurance. Free local and national maps. Toll free 0800 emergency service

 

Minimum hire: (consecutive) 1 day returning to same depot. 3 days one way per island.

 

Bond: (Insurance excess) Clients are responsible for the first $1500 of any claim. This can be paid by cash or credit card (imprint only) on arrival. Fully refunded if vehicle is returned undamaged with a full tank of petrol.


Bond waiver: The insurance excess can be reduced by paying an additional non refundable daily rate. Option A: $10 per day reduces the excess to $750. Option B: $15 per day reduces the excess to $250 (20 yr old drivers, no waiver option) No insurance cover on restricted roads.

 

Depots: 9, Auckland City & near Airport, Wellington, Picton, Greymouth, Kaikoura, Christchurch, Queenstown, Dunedin

 

Branch hours: 8 am -5 pm Daily, except Xmas Day.

 

Additional Fees: (Paid direct) For pickups outside 8am-5pm a $60 fee applies. No early fee. for out of office hour drop offs to depot, however airport drops after 6pm incur a $10 fee.

 

Airport transfers: Complimentary return transfers are available from the Airport/ferry to the depot during office hours. Also hotels/motels within 10 km radius during office hours.
