(If you understand Waitangi, you will better understand why our land is the way that it is). This story is told through the eyes of a grandmother talking to her grandson covering a thousand years. From Kupe the first Maori to discover this land up to the present, including events surrounding the Treaty of Waitangi. This is achieved through visions and transitions from the present to the past. The Bay of Islands has a world wide reputation for excellent salt water fishing. Species include Yellowtail Kingfish, Hapuka (Groper), Kahawai (New Zealand's Trout of the Sea), Snapper, Trevally, Mao Mao, Golden Snapper, John Dory, and Sharks. No fishing licence is required. All fishing equipment and bait is included along with tea & coffee. We suggest taking along your own choice of refreshments and food as required. Unless a sole charter has been organised, guests will be allocated to the most appropriate fishing party on the day.
Options include: Bottom Snapper Fishing - 4 hours. Morning or Afternoon trips price from $112 p.p. Dolphin Adventures |

Dolphins are one of earth’s most fascinating creatures. Few other areas are blessed with them year round. Watch their antics and get fantastic photos. Conditions permitting, go swimming with them. (You must be a confident swimmer). This is NZ’s warmest water for swimming with dolphins. At times you will also see orcas, whales, seals and penguins. Bonus: after your Dolphin Adventure you can choose to be dropped off at Urupukapuka Island returning on a later vessel.
Guarantee: There is a 90% success rate but if you do not see either dolphins or whales you will receive a free ticket to go again until you do or a NZ$20 refund (adult)!
