There is no other place in the world where it is possible to fly from the centre of the city, in view of the ocean, towards snow-capped mountains. Flying time is approx. one hour, however please allow up to four hours for the whole experience. Courtesy transfers are provided from the central area of Christchurch. Ballooning is a “hands on” experience and flight guests are encouraged to join in the activity. After landing the crew and guests celebrate with a glass of champagne and all receive a flight certificate. Up Up and Away has one of the best priced balloon flights in the world. Come face to face with these magnificent creatures in their own environment aboard vessels designed specifically for this purpose. Giant Sperm Whales grow to 20 metres long and are present in these waters year round.
