The Agrodome is situated on a 160 hectare sheep and beef farm just north of Rotorua city. The 1 hour world famous sheep show is both entertaining and informative. Held in a specially designed auditorium, the show includes 19 sheep breeds & features sheep shearing & sheepdog demonstrations, cow milking, bottle feed lambs and an exciting sheep auction. Audience participation is a major part of the show. Shows commence daily at 9.30am, 11.00am & 2.30pm.
The very popular 1 hour Farm Tours depart after each sheep show. Visitors explore the farm aboard tractor drawn trailers. Includes an informative commentary plus an opportunity to walk amongst the animals and feed sheep, cattle, deer, alpaca, ostrich & emus by hand. Included in the tour is a visit to the 100% pure organic New Zealand orchard which produces kiwifruit, olives, feijoas and apples. Visitors can sample kiwifruit wine and honey.
